2024/2025 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS APPLICATION FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS

The Republican Women of Prescott Valley (PVRW) award scholarship(s) each year. Consideration of awards is based on meeting all qualification criteria listed below including completing the two (2) essays. This Scholarship is for a college, university or trade school and sent to the institution directly in the student’s name.

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA

1. The qualifying applicant must. . . *be a senior graduating in the 2024-2025 academic year * live in Prescott Valley, Dewey, or Dewey-Humboldt. * currently attend a high school in the Quad Cities area. * have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for the previous seven (7) semesters of high school.

2. If Home-schooled, the student must be participating in an accredited program.

3. The student must be a U.S. Citizen and Arizona resident.

4. At least one parent/guardian must be a registered Republican.

5. The student must include a verification letter of acceptance from a public or private university, college, or accredited trade school.

REQUIREMENT CRITERIA

All parts of the PVRW application packet MUST be mailed and postmarked no later than Thursday, April 17, 2025. See last page for the address.

Selected candidates must be available for an interview with the PVRW Scholarship Committee during May 2025. The committee looks forward to your participation in our 2025 Scholarship Program. Awards are merit-based using the information on the following, including your interview.

❖ Fully completed PVRW Application form.

❖ Two (2) Letters of Recommendation

➢ At least one from a teacher, counselor, or Principal from your school.

➢ A person of influence in your life. May choose from a school employee, supervisor, clergy, etc. May NOT be from a family member.

❖ Current student resume

❖ An official seven (7) semester transcript with ACT &/or SAT scores.

Selection of the 2025 Scholarship Recipient(s):
The PVRW Scholarship Committee will review all applications and select the scholarship recipient(s). The recipient(s) will be notified by phone or email by Friday, May 16, 2025 so they can prepare to receive their scholarship award at the June PVRW monthly meeting at the Pine Ridge Marketplace, in the Espire Sport Banquet Room.
